Got one at my house today and the other is at the PO Box (still have to grab it). Here's pictures of the one. Will definitely be sending this one off for grading. All of the specs are outside of the capsule.

Yes it can, this isn't the 2019 release where you had to send it unopened because the CoAs were serialized and they wanted to prevent swapping of the CoAs.

You could've also sent it opened last year, they just wouldn't have put the serial number on the label.

I think you will be fine. I would put the box inside another box with your form for submission.

I received my ASE today in the mail. Very pleased with it, especially the privy mark. No plans to have it graded, though.

I asked this question on the other page, but you don't have send in an unopened box to PCGS with the v75 ASE correct? Just want to make sure I can open my box now and still be able to get First Strike.

One time I received a usmint box that looked like that at one end, and the ASE was missing.

Yes I'm almost positive you can open it and still send it in for First Strike designation. Believe it just needs to arrive before a certain date in order to get that designation. I've only ever sent in two different coins for grading and both times it was to NGC so I'm no expert by any means.

NGC, the coin has to get there within 30 days of original release date, whether in the original box or not (they may go by postmark also but I would ask).

PCGS grading for first strike designation either needs to be postmarked within 30 days or sent anytime in the sealed original shipping box unopened.

The only time NGC and PCGS recently required it in sealed original shipping box even if sent before 30 days was if you wanted the CoA slabbed and serial number printed on the label for the 2019-S ERP ASE.

I don't get all the hoopla around the First Strike label. These V75 American Eagles both sold out on the first day. Every single one is a first strike.

The First Strike label is merely my personal preference when it comes to slabs. This is only my third time having coins graded, first was my 2 - 2011 ASE 5 coin sets, then the ERP last year, and now this coin. I know it is kind of ridiculous, but I like the look of it, and I guess for some reason it might bring more value in later years, who knows.

It's primarily for the label collectors out there. Even if the person submitting isn't one themselves it's generally a good idea to get the first/early release or first strike designation in case they ever decide to sell in the future. I'm not one either but if I ever found myself deciding between two coins where the only difference was one had a first strike pedigree and the other didn't, I think you know which one I'd choose.

I just got my v75 AGE today. I don't have PCGS membership but I would like to get mine graded by them and also get the first strike label.

It's a little confusing how I can get mine graded. From my understanding, I'll have to get membership and then pick a tier?

I assume it will be express, which is for coin value $10k. So does this mean if the coin gets lost, I am insured up to $10k?

Which tier did you guys pick for your AGE?
