Remember that they can probably process/ship 10000 coins per day, they did the priority shipping first which means they are now working on the low cost/ free shipping. They may have 10000 coins on a pallet waiting for USPS to scan. Considering today was Veterans Day, probably no updates until tonight or tomorrow.

A couple folks on another coin site said they became available for like a minute today at 7:30 central time. If true then looks like the Mint is changing it up.

Both of the ASEs I'm expecting arrived at the destination sorting facility, so I should expect them tomorrow. Both are getting graded (unless one has a glaring issue with it that would make it not worth it). One is going in the collection, the other will try to pay for both coins. Quote:I plan on keeping the silver. For the gold I did reach out to some local dealers and one Craigslist person responded to my ad, but none are offering over $10K like I see on ebay. I might wait to see what kind of prices ebay has once people start getting the graded gold coin back, then maybe I'll send in for grading. Then again, I have no problem keeping it in my collection (this would be my first gold piece). If you're not in a rush to recoup the $2600 for awhile and can still have a nice holiday without that money, I would hold onto it personally. As I mentioned before, if you want to keep it as an heirloom for the kids, I would also seriously consider having it graded. Much easier to sell down the line since a TPG will authenticate it and if it grades 70, it's easily $10k+ IMO. Quote: One dealer told me the prices were a bubble, but then again why is he offering such an inflated price if there is a "bubble". Probably to instill some kind of urgency in my mind. Maybe he can flip it again quickly I suppose. In my thinking, once the hype dies down and all 1945 units are flipped and settled in a private collection, the price could increase even more as there continues to be demand to complete collections with little supply in the market. Only time will tell...and my wife thinks I am crazy for even buying it because it only says it is worth $50. LOL
I agree, I would be a buyer if the gold design was available on silver. Of course they're going to tell you it's in a bubble. They want to induce FOMO in your head to try to get it out of your hands so they can flip it. I'd bet money they have a list of buyers waiting they can sell it to if they got their hands on one for a nice premium. If it's in a bubble, he would be waiting also.

Would someone mind explaining to me what a complete set of AGE's would look like?
The mint makes new AGE's every year, so I'm not sure which year would be the start and when the end year may be for the collection.
I suppose 1986 until 2020 would be a complete set given that there will be a re-design? Please let me know if my assumption is right or wrong. Would love to learn more

My ASE is coming today, pretty excited to see it! Just want to make sure it is OK to open the box before I send it to PCGS. I assume you can open these boxes and send them to PCGS within the first 30 days and get the First Strike label, correct? Then if you wanted first strike after 30 days you have to send the unopened box, correct? Thanks!

While that's likely true regarding the dealer's motivation, it's also true that the limited releases that initially spike in value almost always settle back in value. Assuming you're talking strictly about the 1oz ones, you're correct. It hasn't been updated in a few years, but here's a good start. https://goldeagleguide.com/

Almost checked out with an AGE at 8:30, but it didn't finish processing before it sold out again.

Since my brother got his coins on Monday, I went to go check them out yesterday. Both are perfect. I saw nothing that wouldn't get them a 70. He is still on the fence about selling. My believe for this coin is that it will spike in 2-4 weeks and then sale prices will go down. I doubt it will reach the 2019 -S ERP prices. But I could be wrong (and have been before).
As to mine, they are still in transit, I worked out a deal for me, so I'll sell one for cash and a trade.

I agree with you hfjacinto. The mintage of the 2017-S proof ASE is the same as this one. It has settled in the $100 to $125 range for one in OGP. I do think the v75 ASE will be somewhat more valuable due to the privy mark, but ultimately I don't see it being worth more than $25 or $50 more.
