No, I am not looking forward to the trying to buy the Mayflower release on the 17th but maybe I will have more luck then I did with the last release since items are going on sale in 9 in the morning so maybe most of the bots will still be sleeping. I do have a question about shipping of the WWII ASE - charge appears on my credit card but so far it has been sitting in Pre-Shipment Info Sent to USPS, USPS Awaiting Item since the 11th of November from the tracking provided. Item is being shipped to my brother in Florida. Is this normal? Anyone else have the same situation?

From speaking to customer service. The fulfillment center will do X number every day. The coins are packed and a label is printed. The labels are randomly applied to the boxes. Hence you might have an item marked as shipped which means a label have been created but not yet applied. Once the label is applied the coin is then loaded with a lot of other coins on a pallet. That pallet could take a day or 3 before it's actually dropped off at the Memphis TN USPS. And remember that free and cheap shipment are done last so if any new priority shipment items come in they are done first.
So in reality a label could have been created but it may take a few days for the label to be applied and another few days to get the pallet to USPS. Coupled with USPS scanning the master list only before the actual package goes into the USPS delivery system.
As an example I ordered a coin on Thursday last week. It took 7 days to appear on USPS as leaving Memphis and today is out for delivery.
Still much faster than FedEx smart (or slow ) post.

Mine showed up yesterday and I just grabbed it from the mailbox. Debating on whether to open it or send it for grading in shipping box.

I don't understand why you would send it in an unopened box to be graded...

Unless it's over a month old and you're grading PCGS, there's no reason to keep it in the original shipping box.

I used the cheap shipping and received 1 yesterday and 1 today. Sometimes you get lucky and fast shipment most times you don't.

So it looks like mine is getting closer to arrive to my brother in Florida so they can forward it onto me in the UK.
From the USPS tracking updates, these are the two received so far:
"The U.S. Postal Service was electronically notified by the shipper on November 11, 2020 to expect your package for mailing. This does not indicate receipt by the USPS or the actual mailing date. Delivery status information will be provided if/when available."
"Your item arrived at our JACKSONVILLE FL NETWORK DISTRIBUTION CENTER destination facility on November 15, 2020 at 12:45 pm. The item is currently in transit to the destination."

One thing that makes me think the v75 Silver and Gold Eagles will go up is that some resale/coin shops are offering a lot for them.
Minshull Trading is offering $12k for the gold eagle and $575 for the sealed silver eagle.
It seems like resellers think that even buying at the 12k price point will be profitable for them in the future.
What do you all think? I know we're just speculating but hey, what else is there to do during covid

I sold my extra, but I kept the 2019 S-ERP.
75000 isn't a really limited edition.

That's why I asked the question. Out she comes. Edit: the shipping boxes they send things in are so chinsy that I worry about people stealing the contents and delivering me an empty box. The flap sticks like crazy but all you have to do is apply a slight amount of pressure on the sides to open. Poor design.

I know that PCGS wants the coin sent to them in a numbered vinyl flip. Would they have a problem with the coin still in the airtight in a 2 1/2 X 2 1/2 flip? I don't want to remove it and have anything happen to it.

Quote: Both mine came taped. Sure, that would do it. But the past several boxes I've received like that, including the 2 S-proof ASEs, have not been taped. They just pop open on the sides with minimal pressure. Terrifying after all the stress involved with actually purchaing something like this WWII 75th ASE. $83 could turn into $500 as my coin falls onto the floor of a mail truck after the box gets squashed by a sack of mail.
