I received mine today and I just have to say spruett, I am seriously just blown away to smithereens. I don't think I have ever interacted with you, yet you know me perfectly. Before we go any further - ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE THANK YOU!! (Yes I know its e shouting, but I mean all of it). Image removed due to address showing and possible spammers/thieves wanting to rob my house When I saw this, and the dude has personalised wrapping paper I knew what was inside was going to be amazing. The first thing I unwrapped was that 1819 Halfcrown - to receive a date I don't have as a Christmas gift is a new level of great and then that silver Bicentennial set, which compliments my Nickel clad one - When I saw they were silver I nearly crapped sideways. I am thinking maybe J Buck would want that one too with a glistening silver Ike there! Next I was treated to a squashed dime on the Alamo which is apt to his Texan background and a squashed penny that celebrates Prince (Does this guy have ESP or what?) We used to have coin squashing machines at many tourist sites, but now I don't think you can squash our coins and they sell generic tourist dollars, which are brass disks. He also introduced me to the world of US coins in the wars, a Merc, a War Nickel from WW2, A Buffalo from WW1 and the piece de la resistance - a 1863 Copper Nickel Indian cent from the Civil war. I have 4 Indian head pennies and believe me none are from 1863 or even 1893 - I think he may have got me more interested in American coin collecting. The halfcrown and some very nice chocolate coins make up the shot. And if that is not enough, I get a stunning set of 2020 dated US coinage including all 5 America the Beautiful Quarters and even a Kennedy half (I did not even know they issued these coins outside sets) and a beautiful commem Sac dollar. I know this is a long post, but this beyond all expectations and I am just so grateful. If we are nominating the most generous and best thought gifts - I totally nominate this. Just mega thank you again spruett001!

Quote: Just mega thank you again spruett001! Since I've been outed ... You are very welcome and I am happy that the package arrived safely. Tracking showed it traveled from Dallas to Chicago and back to Ft. Worth, then to Tokyo and on to New Zealand. By my calculations, that's approximately 13,500 miles or over 21,700 kilometers!

I picked up my Secret Santa envelope at the Post Office yesterday. Very impressed what I received - 2 ancient coins, my first and second. My wife and daughter (who are not numismatics) were very impressed and liked them both (as I do) Thank you so much Secret Santa!

Great ancients! Maybe it will spark your wife and daughter to start learning about coins.
