Is there a reason why this 1967 quarter even in it's condition would only weight 5.47g?

quarters have a tolerance of .227 grams so it's within tolerance.

Okay I thought it was only .15 so there's my problem. Thanks and sorry for the stupid question. I should have known that.

@m2c, if you use the key words Weight Tolerance with the search box in the upper left hand corner of your screen, you will find a bunch of conversations about this including some summaries of the mint's specs.
