I came across this 1979 D LMC while looking for errors and the mint mark caught my attention right away. Under the scope it cast a wide shadow and after looking through the loupe and using different light angles I was able to see that the relief on the minmark is much higher than it should be and has even gone through some wear. Why so high. Is this something you normally come across. First one I've seen so bold.
