what grade would you give this coin?
And what would you max pay for it?
Seller has it graded as.......raw, (no TPG): well, I will tell you that later

I would put it well in to EF territory - maybe AU? Though take that with a grain of salt as I'm not an expert by any stretch. One thing I find with the Canadian 5c is that the reverse sometimes seems to be lower in 'grade' than the obverse. Those little leaves seem very vulnerable to the slightest wear....

I think this is a very, very toned AU-MS coin with a bad picture job.
Might have a chance at looking a bit better after a dip, but, quien sabe?

At least AU-55.

I really only see wear on the ear braid, and even then it might be "drawer wear" or "friction wear", not circulation wear.

As an example, I have an 1891 5c, that I thought was AU-55/58 and came back MS-63.
