I found these 2 in a brinks box last night. I pulled another BU '68-s out of the same box about 15 minutes ago.  I'm starting to find more and more 2009's and 2010's now too. |

You guys have me hooked.
It's not fair, really.
I have done lots of searching, but it has mostly been unc rolls.
I picked up a box of Lincolns the other day from a local bank (she stiffed me for a roll, by the way) and searched it. I only picked up a few wheat pennies (1955 poor man's doubled die) and a small hand full of Canadian cents.
I had several goals,
1. Wheat pennies
2. Pre 1982 95% copper coins.
3. P-mint pennies for searching at a more leisurely pace.
4. S-mint coins
I ended up with 6-8 rolls of the 95% coppers. Among those there were at least 20 S-mint coins. I haven't done much searching on the P-mint coins yet, but I have already found an off-struck example (what DID I do with that penny?).
I don't want to give the bank away, but people will pay a premium for the pre-82 coppers.
I hope you guys are proud of yourselves!

Latest box: - only two Canadians - 1945 and 1952. - 523 coppers. (11 S mints) - 14 Wheats - oldest 1920 - Another 98 WAM - Lots of BU cents from 73-10.....21 from 2010 that were keepers, tossed back another 15 or so. (1 BU 1959D - bright red, looks like it was made yesterday). I think I need to start rolling copper and put 2-3 boxes of it up for sale now. |

Just 5 rolls into a box and found these so far...  ...I need to get another lamp to better capture the luster of those 1961s and 1962s. |

Jim: Congrats on the 73 S Proof! Must be a good time for finding proof coins- I found this 89 S Proof along with a 1895 IHC late last night roll searching. The proof must have just been dumped recently as there are very few scratches/etc on the surface from constant circulation etc.     |

Nice finds on the proofs! I've found only two proofs so far, it's exciting to find them.

I just went to the bank and picked up 9 rolls of cents. I opened one of the customer wrapped rolls and 50,YES 50 43 STEEL PENNIES! Included were 4 D's and 2 S's. Really made my day even though they are not in very good condition. Hey,a steelie is a steelie right?
