I bought 2 rolls of cents as I was leaving work (I work in a store). Didn't find anything worth mentioning unfortunately.

Well yeah there was plenty of copper. I'd set the coppers aside if I knew I could make a few bucks off them in a large quantity.

I had stopped pulling copper; then I checked the price of copper yesterday. TIME TO START AGAIN! I haven't posted anything here for awhile because I have taken the last eight bank boxes that I went through and instead of checking the potential Doubled Dies and WAM's/CAM's as I went along, I started throwing all the dates with potential goodies into large 44 ounce soda cups. Filled five of them; I estimate I have about $80 face in 1960d,1964,1968d,1969s,1970s,1971,1971d,1972PDS,1980,1982,1983,1984,1992,1994,1995,1995d,1996,1997,1998,1999,2000,2001,2004,2004d,and 2006. Broke them down by date, and started with the ones dated 2000. There were about 6 or 700 of them, and I did find a 2000 WAM! Now working on the 2004d looking for 1DR-001. I will keep all posted; there has to be something else good to be found!

I'm still finding a lot of copper in the bank boxes I'm getting. If I were forced to guess, I'd say about 25%. I'm also starting to see a few 2009's now. No wheaties worth mentioning in my last one though. 8 50's-era, and 4 40's... I did find my very first counterstamped though... and some really beautiful 60's... BadThad, I found a few more 1990-D's for ya too.

I bought ten rolls last week and found my first Rail Splitter cent. I also got a 1956 wheatie. I've been averaging about 20% copper.

Just bought my first box of pennies in some while and got two wheaties in the first two rolls I looked through. A 1958 D and 1952 S. I needed the 1952 S for the book.

I've searched a couple of bank boxes and have seen a lot of copper. Do you think I should keep them? And there seems to be much wheats. I usually only find about 5 per box and none of them are pre-1940... Is that common?

BadThad- are 1990-D's harder to find in BU in circulation than any other year from the late 80s or early 90s? I'm just wondering since it did take me a while to find one.

LP1, LP2 and LP3 are the short names for the designs of reverse of the 2009 cents in the order that they come out. The next will be LP4.

For me they are! I'm ready to give up and buy a BU roll since I only have like 5-10 of them in my home-built roll set.
