BINGO! I was at one of my usual bank branches trading a box for box and the manager told me another branch has a free counter. She felt bad for me having to roll these all the time.... I went to the other branch and when I walked in an employee had the machine open to change out the bags. WOOOOHOOOO... I asked him if I could buy the cent bag and he said sure. Another bonus, he was chaning the bag out because another employee just brought in 5 years worth of his change stash! I asked that guy if he searched it....and he said "what the heck for?". HAHAHAHAHAHA, sweet....I'll take this bag!

Went through about 400 or so and it's looking good. I picked out quite a few BU's including a very nice 1986-D. Looks to be about 25-30% copper. I found a 2000 WAM already! I think I'll go back tomorrow and see if they have that other bag still.

Not bad Thad! Here's a woody I found on Tuesday. Thought this was pretty neat since it's a LMC.

A little pun action? LOL
Just found a dime in the last handful, apparently the counter is not perfect. Also got about 40% copper from that handful and a MS-66+ 2002 BU. Man, I'm LOVING this bag.

OK, I suspect this guy lost track of how long he had been saving these....loving it. I'm finding some nice BU zincs, lots of D mints that I needed. Maybe he moved here from out west, but there's many more D mints than I typically see in Brinks boxes. I also found a higher than normal proportion of wheats. I've plucked 10 out and I've only sorted about 600-700 coins. Some handfuls have been almost 50% copper too with some nice red cents here and there like these. I very rarely find the 70's S mint cents and I've already found two 74-S and one 1973-S.

Nice finds Bad Thad!
Same here, just went in yesterday to pick up my boxes of Halves and asked if any penny bags were full- they had 1 which I bought
I went back yesterday afternoon to cash in the halves and buy more boxes and they already had another bag of pennies full by someone who had just filled the machine!
I bought that bag also.
Now I have 2 bags to go through, lots of work ahead, but could be great finds!

This bag rocks, I'm going for these from now on. Last night I also found 6 LP1 and a couple LP2's. It's quite the mix.

last night in customer wrapped rolls I found a 2000 and 1998 WAM! 2000 looks to be AU and the 98 BU ( maybe MS 62 or so)

After searching through hundreds of thousands of cents I have decided to give up. Heck no just kidding. I found two blank planchets this week. I thought the first one was strange, but now a second is really strange. These are the first two that I have found.

After comparing %copper and # of wheaties from the 2 bank boxes I bought to the customer rolls and bags I normally buy I will never buy boxes again. Its amazing what people will put in rolls of coins thinking its worthless. Kie

Coin Machine Bags are the only way to go for me from now on.
No more $25.00 Boxes!
I've just started on bag one and I've already found a 1912 Wheatback, a 1903 Great Britain Six Pence (Silver Coin!) and 2 MS65+ Grade LP2's!
*My first bag yielded a beautiful 1994P 1DR-001* amongst other nice coins.
