Found 61 wheats last night in 4 customer rolls. Oldest was 1913 and all were common dates. Nice getting rolls that have something worth keeping every few coins. Still looking for those W-AM's. Not having luck like some on here are lately.

This "error" I found has a normal reverse, but on the obverse it has a reverse over the top of Lincoln (about 80%). And the lettering is backwards too on this overlay. The date is readable too (1964) Does anyone think that this "clear substance" might be a "glue" of somesort.....and that maybe this "error" is created by a person trying to forge a "Lincoln error".... .... I personally don't think so...but I know NOTHING about errors at all....any comments and education will be appreciated greatly ! Thanks ! This "hardened clear substance" on part of it has me very curious. I don't know if it's fingernail polish or something someone used as a "preservative" or what exactly this "substance" is..... I'll still keep trying to get a better photo put up here.

Glue or some sort of glue type substance with the impression of another cent embedded it in.

I was given 8 rolls of wheats the other week by a teller :) most were in the 30's and 50's. She said someone had come in and deposited a lot of them and this was all she had left. Needless to say I was still grateful

AGCoinHunter.......So, is this a "junk coin" now that someone fooled with in your opinion ? This is not a "Mint error" ? ... But how on Earth could someone have gotten the "underside" of a die to imprint the backwards/spelling of another Cent like that ? ... And ....... what should I do with this ?........ Just spend it I guess ?

Quote:Im a newbie, can you explain what DDO means? DDO = Doubled Die Obverse Please notice, it is doublED die and NOT "double die". We're kind of sticklers for that term around this forum.
