Are there any premiums on wheats based on the positioning of the mintmarks? Including a nice 56-D Doubled Mintmark, I've found 56s with the D in about 3 or 4 different positions, from extremely low to almost touching the 5 and 9.

I got 4 boxes of pennies this morning, and found... ...Over 60 wheat pennies, (including an outstanding 1927!) a clipped LMC, and a 1906 IHC! To date I've found 6 IHCs in bank rolls!

Update to my previous post - Almost all of the mint marks from the 50s are all over the place. The majority sit well below the date, but I have found them almost touching the date for just about every year.

I see why it feels kind of different. The recycled shell cases mustn't be the right composition. I don't think it's creepy though, I think it's quite fascinating. Awesome to have something that may have had action at the front lines Beautiful red 1974S! Also great to find '60s Canadian pennies, you want to check them for the occasional die clash Nice IHC! I have never seen one in person. Lincoln almost looks like he's smiling in the '27

Working on my first box in about a year. This one is shaping up to be one the better boxes I've had in quite some time. I'll post some results when I finish.

I went home and went through 2 boxes of pennies. 11 wheats in each box with a number of foreign and Canadian pennies. I took pics of the 1930 and the Unbelievable 1946!! Which happens to be my Dad's Birth Year! Check them out. Sorry, Pictures aren't that great. (I'll see if I can take a better picture of the 1946 later)

Nice specimens folks!! On an odd hunt now. About 2/3rds through a box and only 4 LWC. But I did find a 2000 WAM in decent shape and a 1956D AU LWC. A few possible varieties needing further review. Lots of copper, which is weird, since higher copper normally means higher LWC output.

Nice box there!! I love it when you get a bunch of choice coins from circulation!! Looks like a 2000 Greaser; third one I've seen in as many days. Get another box: maybe the 40s and 50s choice coins are still in the vault!! Good luck wheatback!

Thanks Rackster. First box in about a year and I'm glad to be back at it.

A lackluster box that gave me nothing until the last 12 rolls.
4 wheats: 45, 48, 50-D, 55-D 3 S-mint: 69-S, 72-S, 74-S 3 Canadian: 76, 86, 99 And soo many ashtray coins that my hands STILL stink of stale cigarettes, and I've never touched one in my life.
