Looks like Machine Doubling, but the question is? "Why are not other feathers affected in the same way?" But the affected area is on the center of the coin. You might send John Wexler to see what he thinks with these images?

Thanks Coop. I was thinking of contacting Wexler but wanted to see what others thought first. Maybe some more doubling to the right of the area in question along the wing
