What is the weight of your coin? If less than 5 grams, the coin was altered. If normal, then it might need a closer look?

Still waiting on the weight. If it were a thinned planchet, then It would make sense. But note the missing face? If it were sanded off, then why is the motto still there. So I'm waiting for a response first.
