Found this GKL Lane yesterday, the day after discussing with walk2dwater  Accord ig to CPMF database, first GKL lane was registered a year ago.. so 5 or so is a few for this period of Time .but I know, these are 100' s .  |

I did a 20 dollars Canadian banknotes hunting today, and I found a 20 dollars changeover with the signatures Macklem-Carney, prefix FVP and serial numbers 8853634. Coins and Canada said 0000000 to 8364999 of Macklem-Carney FVP were printed and they said 8964000 to 9999999 of Wilkins-Poloz FVP were printed. Numista said 8365000 of 20 dollars Macklem-Carney FVP were printed (I'm assuming 0000000 to 8365000 printed). I'm wondering if the Charlton book will say the same thing. Do you guys know what could happen to the 20 dollars banknotes prefix FVP with the serial numbers between 8364999 and 8964000? Why some sites don't mention them?

Charlton has the correct figure (8,964,000) as does the CPMF's SNDB (Serial # Database). https://cdnpapermoney.com/ (You have to register to the CPMF in order to access the SNDB. Incidentally, there have been over 1,700 M-C FVP entered on the SNDB & only 102 W-P FVP's (above 8,964,000) reported. The Wilkins-Poloz FVP have been a pretty tough change-over to come by. (Despite the fact that the early FVP are 17X more common than the last 1M+ W-P notes, Numista has 1.9% M-C FVP P-108a & 1.4% W-P FVP P-108b -these figures really FAIL to tell the real story). Thanks a lot for the accurate information walk2dwater! I should really get the Charlton book 2022 or 2023. Coins and Canada and Numista can sometimes share inaccurate information.

Charlton has prefix tables & will give you more conservative (accurate) BV (book values) & goes back to Dominion of Canada & even provincial issues. It has an informative introduction on GRADING & the last sections on special serial numbers & Errors are essential to be acquainted with if you wish to collect. |

Nice 20 dollars FVP banknotes Che1984!
I'm really trying to find that 50 dollars Canadian banknote with the prefix AMK. Only below 300 000 of them were printed.

I'm puzzled by this statement as there are no $20 notes with the Macklem/Poloz signatures for that matter there were no 50's M/P either.
Am I missing something here?
