Asked seller for credit of half the purchase price and they get the coin back. Until I found this place I had no idea people invested so much effort in fakes. I knew people removed Ds from the 1922 but had no idea people could add mint marks...VDB etc. Boy I will be sad if the other 1909 S VDB is fake too. I have no recourse on that one. Maybe I will start a different thread on that one later and keep my fingers crossed.

I know the anxiety you feel before posting a coin that you think might be counterfeit. I have an 1832 50 cent piece that I was suspicious of. I stressed for months before getting up the gumption to post it. Lucky for me it was genuine. Quite the weight off my back.
