Hey fellow collectors have a pic of a Washington quarter that I would like some help with. This is my first post so go easy on me. Hahaha if you look close there is a quarter size inlay, it starts at the top around the letter A and starts kicking out at the 6. Everything is genuine and hopefully my pics are good. Let me know what you think , thanks. Edited by Harvest2020 01/14/2021 12:50 am

Not sure what you mean by an "inlay," but it's just a badly damaged, environmentally toned quarter. Sorry, no added value.

I don't see what you are referring to.

Sounds like you guys have way more experience in this field so I dare argue your responses. If you look near the edge of Washingtons face down the coin does have a coin impression. That said I can't explain how this happened, I simply found this in a quarter roll, and thought it was worth asking. I appreciate the responses.

Its not an impression. The coin is basically just stained. There's no telling exactly how it happened. Could have been buried, or laying in liquid. Environmental damage. Spend it

I see the outline you are referring to. It looks like maybe another coin was sitting on top of this one at the same time it was getting its environmental damage. Its not a mint error, just post mint damage..

Reverse, It does have an impression but sounds like I need to just toss it in the coin bin.

Environmentally stained/damaged coin, not a mint error, just PMD. Spend it. to the CCF!
