There are several types of such coins in the NGC database. Type B, C, D, E.
I don't know much about it. Can you help me determine what type I have ?

There is a diamond mark at the bottom of the coin, so it is a Mumbai mint coin. Such marks at the bottom determine the type of mint. Now It's either type A Mumbai mint, type B or type C depending on the weight of the coin.

Info below from numista.

1995 #9830;
KM#121.3 (6 g; Type A) Mumbai Mint

1995 #9830;
KM#121.4 (5 g; Type B) Mumbai Mint

1995 #9830;
KM#121.5 (6.06 g; Type C) Mumbai Mint

Am very keen to know too. Got a few coins from various trips made before Covid came along.

Not exactly pertinent to the query of thread, but some interesting reading about the 1 rupee coins in below link

Found another way to distinguish between types on numista:

Type A: Asoka Column 15mm tall, 5 fur rows on the right lion, no lion whiskers
Type B: Asoka Column 14mm tall, 3 fur rows on the right lion, 5 lion whiskers
Type C: Asoka Column 13mm tall, 4 fur rows on the right lion
Type D: Asoka Column 13mm tall, no fur rows on the right lion, 2 whiskers on the central lion
