I've recently been searching my old change and came across a 1996 quarter with an odd hexagonal mark between the C and the A. You can't hardly see it with naked eye. Any ideas?

We see these two or three times a year. Last one I saw it was determined to be a piece of art/craft 'glitter'--slightly adhesive on one side. If you're careful, try using a clean tooth pick to nudge it from the side. Chances are good it will pop off or curl on the pushed edge.
