I came across this 1949 Lincoln Wheat cent I believe it may be errored on rim.

Hello! I do not see anything other than a small rim ding by the date, which would be considered post-mint damage ( PMD). Is this what you are referring to? BTW - nice coin and great pictures!

It looks like a regular business strike. That was struck well,very nice penny though. I would keep it for just the looks.

We need larger, closer-in, high resolution images--particularly of the issue in question. Given what's been posted above, the rim appears to have taken a circulation hit--not at all uncommon. Better, close-in pics may show something else. Thanks.
