@vinn, I going to move this thread over to the grading section so that folks can weigh in with their thoughts. From there, you can decide whether getting these circulated, common-date memorial cents are worth the $25 or so to get it slabbed.

Your coins are not red or high grade. Here is a link you need to study, https://www.PCGS.com/photograde.

Agree with John1. The two coins posted above are very common, worn wheat cents--not worth having them graded by a TPG. I have a few tubes each of '45-P, 45-D, and 45-S coins in AU+ or better condition, and another couple dozen low-to-mid MS grade examples in 2x2 flips. I'm certain I don't have any valued anywhere near 3 figures, or more.

Suggest checking ebay for info on sold '45 wheat cents:

Rest in Peace

Hmm , Those 2 wheat cents are common circulated coins with a value of about 2 to 3 ¢ a piece . What you are looking at and reading are gem wheat cents in the best of conditions . Take the advice that john1 gave you , click on to that site .

The 1943 Wheat is a zinc plated steel cent that only has value if it is a high grade

Keep looking, set aside what you find interesting. And, continue to read-up on wheat cents--much to learn and discover. I've been plowing though thousands and thousands (and thousands) of wheat cents for decades. Yet to find a five figure coin, even a four figure. Maybe a few (very few) in the low 3 figure range.

Consider that many, many collectors have been searching wheat cents for a looooong time. It's likely that most of the big ticket coins have been found and are safely tucked away. Of course, there's still a chance a biggie can yet be uncovered, but the odds are significantly less today than they were back in the day.

Just for comparison, here are the 1945's from my collection:

Believe-I-Have-A-Single-Red-1945-Wheat-And-A-Brown-Also

These are probably in the MS-64 range and I probably bought them for somewhere in the range of $5-10 total for all three (maybe less). The only way realistically you are going to acquire coins in the super high grades like MS68 as mentioned in the article is to buy them. They are incredibly scarce; even nice looking MS examples are several grades short of these. They are not going to show up in change.

For the heck of it I checked PCGS and they did grade 1945-P Red MS67+ coins as $4500 until Dec 3 1918. The price has been falling sharply since then and is now 1/2 of that! I would wonder if the product promoted is worth less, too....

Stay well,
