My grandfather passed away in Dec. and I have inherited boxes of coins. Unfortunately I started researching the sets first and didn't realize there was a purpose to all the loose change until we had deposited it in the bank. Anyway while sorting loose pennies (thousands) I encountered this dime, I am new to coin collecting and its been a trial by fire with missteps along the way as I mentioned previously.

Is this coin valuable?

Should I clean it and how?

Any help would be appreciated.

to CCF. Do not think it is a DDO. Looks like MD and or DDD, machine doubling/die deterioration doubling. Maybe even circulation flattening?

I always like to make side by sides to see if that is normal for that year or if it is enlarged:

Never clean any coin, no way, no how. Cleaning ruins any numismatic value the coin may have.

to the CCF!
