I was going thru a roll and noticed this "error" on the reverse of the coin. The top of the wheat on the left side looks cut off. Is this a die break or a grease filled error? I haven't been on this forum for almost two years. I am hoping that this round I may get confirmation on an error. I have searched but haven't found one like this anywhere. Thank you in advance for your time. I appreciate anything you can tell me. Linda

Hi Linda, did you notice the tiny crack from the "E" to the top of the wheat lines? That's an error!

Between 9k & 10k is a die crack that might turn in to a Cud, so a pre-cud. John1

WHOO HOO! I finally found an error that is being confirmed by members of the forum! I'm excited and it will make me want to post some others that I believe are errors.
Thank you for taking the time to let me know what I have. I can now go and "google" it so as to get a better understanding of it. #129303;

Yes, die cracks, with pre-cud lurking very close by.

They are die events. First/second a die crack, then chips can be spotted. But then the crack connect, then they can form a rim to rim die crack, then a Retained Cud, with chips and a die break. and on to a Cud. CoopHome: Wheat die crack to Cud progression

Good eye, and congrats. I second John's suggestion of using the Search box above - makes Google look like a kid's dictionary.

Not only a die jerked for a Cud BUT I believe that pre-cud die area has shifted, hence the alignment noticeable at the top pf the wheat ear. Very nice coin.

Once again, I want to thank all of you in this forum for taking the time to share your knowledge. I will probably still "google" but I definately will start searching here. Sometimes I get replys that are "greek" to me making me realize how much I don't know. I always thought I was a quick learner but this forum proved me wrong. This last "find" has resparked an excitement in me to continue to "chase that dragon." So thank you in advance for your help and be prepared to laugh your a#s off at some very stupid questions and crazy looking coins that I will most likely be submitting. Hopefully, we can laugh together....
