Is The Mintmark Normal On This 1944-D?

ijn1944 Bedrock of the Community United States 19257 Posts	Posted 03/03/2021 4:41 pm It appears your coin has been plated--rather heavily. Note the shiny, gooey look--especially evident on the reverse. The mint mark is somewhat 'reshaped' by the thick plating. Compare the surfaces of your coin with the surfaces on normal '44 D cents found on the web. Report this Post to the Staff
