Now this coin also fits on the most recent acquisitions page here, and post your 1921 coins page. Well, this VAM I feel as a vam-1B1 because all the diagnostics fit mine per vamworld.com. Now I wonder if this really fits as a veds according to the vamworld site they just start listing the vam-1B1, without any earlier VAM names in relation to the 1B1.

I grade my example as an AU-58. The last photo shows what I believe is a feeder finger polish gouge above the eagles left wing. Id enjoy others thoughts on this VAM designation.

i dont know, these guys are tough on here .. here is mine and they were saying 55, 57 , 58. I looked at pics on PCGS grading and it seems more like 63 64 to me so yours would be late 50's

I'm at VAM-1B1 EDS. Your example has the early die crack above the R.
I'm guessing there has not been an example found with the scribbles #68 and no die cracks. Heck, maybe the scribbles were added to the die at the point of the EDS cracks.
As for VAM-1B I believe the discovery of the filled die split the listing into VAM-1B2 with filled e and 1B1 for all else.

I'm just not a fan of collecting scribbles...

Hey thanks dave700x, I was torn between eds and veds since I was reading the descriptions of this particular specimen. I on vamworld.com was looking at the die crack attribution page to pin my specimen down, and at least I got the 1b1 VAM pinned. That is why I took a pic #3, to show what was going on there.
