Just split copper plating exposing the zinc planchet. Common occurrence around the D mintmark - any doubling on the date is from Die Deterioration - DDD

In side the '8' and below the cross bar on the '4' is DDD. Die Deterioration Doubling. On the DDO on the date area the hub doubling is on the center of the devices:

DDD is on the fields, not on the devices. Note the date images on this die?
