My Commonwealth Halfcrown, not the best condition but very seldom seen.

Another seldom seen date of Halfcrown, most KG2 are Limas, not many from 1731 though!

A 1912 with stunning lustre

Incredibly not UNC, but a weak strike AU (Top part of shield is almost flat) - but the lustre on this coin sets it apart!

A shiny Victorian penny - common as dirt, but lustre like this can't be that common.

Here's my best Gothic Florin - VF or so, but an early date (1856). I know its not much next to people with AU and UNC of these things - but a honest coin.

@Princetane, you have an amazing collection! I especially love the three 19th Century halfcrowns. In such good condition, they are definitely rare coins! Nice!!! Where do you usually purchase your coins?

Surprisingly off a local New Zealand dealer called Bertrand on NZ site trade me. I bought a few of Andy G in the UK, but I haven't put any of those on this thread yet.

I don't do ebay or anything overseas mostly due to cost and the price of shipping and handling to New Zealand (Last stop to Mars). Also our socialist government charges duty and taxes from $60 up for foreign sendings.

I was thinking the Kew Garden 50 pence might be the rarest UK coin I own.
Please-Post-Pictures-Of-Your-Rare/Interesting-British-Coins-Here!

But then I looked at my records and notice I had a 1988 10P from a BU set, and they have a mintage of only 134000.
Please-Post-Pictures-Of-Your-Rare/Interesting-British-Coins-Here!

I then noticed that I had a 1900 4 pence and the mintage on that is only 9571.
Sorry about the picture, it was one of my first attempts, years ago. I really should redo it.

Thanks! I actually got it over a period of 20 years! I saw the fourpence for sale in a now-closed coin shop in Canterbury, and then spotted the penny and twopence in my local antiques centre a few days later. I phoned the Canterbury shop to reserve the 4d and then bought the 1d and 2d. It then took a lot of browsing through dealers' lists before I found a threepence! I paid a small fraction of what a complete set would have cost!

Here's another Maundy Set - 1871:

@NumisRob, wow nice! You're lucky to have gotten that deal. Just looking at the set I would have thought you purchased a complete set for a good amount of money!

Yes NumisRob has some incredible coins! His Australian collection is not to be sneezed at either. I see he has been buying more Maundy sets too.

Another rare coin from me, but this one is not a Gleamer.

The best thing about this coin, is it is dated 1905 and the rarest date for a 20th century half corwn. This example is not even Good, but good enough to show a clear "5" on that date.

Just another nice coin to leave you all wanting more.

I think this is my rarest British coin - a 1954 Maundy threepence. Mintage 1,076:
Please-Post-Pictures-Of-Your-Rare/Interesting-British-Coins-Here!
This was a very lucky purchase. I had half-an-hour to kill before some appointment or other, and saw a stamp shop. I spotted a little box of silver threepenny bits in the window, with a label saying '30p each' (this was in the early 1990s). I went in and asked to look at the coins. They were mostly worn, circulated George V ones, but I pulled out this beauty plus several of the New Zealand and Australian threepences that I posted in the 'How Far Back can We Go? - Australia & NZ' thread! Apart from the box of threepences, all the other coins in the shop were overpriced common British ones like Churchill and Jubilee crowns for £2 each!
