I wonder how long after the Lincoln Dollar sells out we will see preliminary mintage figures. I'm really curious to know how many less uncirculated dollars were minted.

Finally received mine today. 1 uncirculated and 1 proof.
I checked out the mint web site today and the Uncirculated is sold out and the Proof is now on a waiting list.
I decided to order one on the waiting list, I regret not ordering another proof yesterday when it wasn't on the waiting list.

The total mintage of the Uncirculated is so low, or about half of the Proof Dollar... Does that make the uncirculated more attractive or doesn't that matter for commeratives?

Uncirculated commems do tend to have lower mintages than the proofs, most people prefer to purchase the proofs. This mintage differential does not always impact the value though.

My proof Lincoln dollar finally made it from the US Mint to my folks in the US and over to me in the UK.
Really impressed with it.

seems like the uncirculated coin is catching the same premium as the proof on the bay

I've had 5 proofs from the mint and NGC slabbed them: Three PF70UC, One PF69UC, and one arrived scratched so I didn't send it in. Not too bad, but disappointed in the scratched coin straight from them. Still have the 5 UNC on it's way expected ship date May 5.
I have to buy at least 5 at a time to make the shipping worth it per coin- they charge $14.95 + $2.95 PER COIN, so 5 coins ends up tallying nearly $30. That's $6/coin.
3 PF and 3 UNC Brailles on the way at some point too, but who knows when.

I am of the opinion that the UNC, being of lower mintage"could and should" bring a premium over the more available Proofs. I would just apply the general rule of supply and demand, this all relying on the demand being there, while the reports about E-Bay would back this up, just my opinion....
