84DoubleVision, if anyone could tell you that, they would have a crystal ball I am sure they will have a premium of some sort, virtually every commem that sells out(which is not many) has a premium. sales as of March 9- 380,585(265,741 proofs and 114,844 uncs) 85% sold

I'll be curious to see the "going market price on ebay" for these Proof Lincolns around Spring of next year 2010......and of course, whether or not they maintain whatever value they rise to. If they can keep and hold a nice premium for 30 years.....I'll be ecstatic... Of course, watching them ever so slowly rise through the years would be incredible too.......but .....yeah.......I don't have a crystal ball either.... But for the record.....I have no plans to send mine in for grading.

I was getting worried since I ordered the coin on the first day it went on sale. Finally got the email saying it shipped.
Now I have to wait for it to get to my folks and then for them to send it over to me. But at least I will have one!

Mine finally shipped out. I can't believe we might actually see a sell out before the March ends.

I just checked the Mint's web site and found the Uncirculated dollar is on a wait list. The proof is still available and is not on a wait list. The following is on their web site.
Waiting List Notice: The number of orders we have taken meets the maximum limit for the 2009 Abraham Lincoln Commemorative Uncirculated Silver Dollar. You may still place an order for this product, which will go on a waiting list. If a product becomes available due to an order cancellation, we will fulfill orders from the waiting list on a first-in, first-served basis. We cannot provide information about your position on the waiting list.

thats sounds like a sell out kinda! I know one thing if the prices go crazy I am going to sell mine. I like it but not a big commemorative collector. But then again I may not sell it. I plan on getting that 5 coin set if available also so hopefully it will happen for me
