Is This Coin An Elagabalus or Gordian III?

Ruger9a Valued Member United States 325 Posts	Posted 06/07/2021 10:41 am This coin is 25mm and weighs 10.6 grams. I "think" I've whittled the Emperors down to two: Elagabalus or Gordian III. The reverse is definitely Asklepios standing facing, looking left, resting on serpent-entwined staff. I cannot find a sample with the same field letters. Am I even close? Help please!!! Kushanshah Pillar of the Community United States 1554 Posts	Posted 06/07/2021 4:31 pm The emperor's name is legible: ΑΝΤΩΝΕΙΝΟC ("Antoninus"). Antoninus Pius, Caracalla and Elagabalus were all named Antoninus on the coins. On provincials in particular, it can be difficult to distinguish young portraits of Caracalla and Elagabalus. In this case, the portrait favors Elagabalus and the attribution is confirmed by the Magistrate's name ΡΟΥΦΟΥ ("of Rufus") in the reverse margin at 11 o'clock. Cf.
