1927 Buffalo Nickel Missing E In Cents

This is the second time I've come across a Buff like this. Last time it was an S in Cents but the S was completely gone. What causes this?

Guessing this is the product of a partially grease-filled die.

Think about it. If you say fiv or five it almost is the same. Maybe the Mint had a problem deciding.

I believe it's the result of a grease-filled die at time of mintage.
