This one's a bit awkward in that I think Spence has already posted this coin type for the 1250s. I have it dated to AH641, which is 1243-1244, possibly because that's what it says on Numista, although I don't know how they got that date. Maybe that's the date of the coin it's imitating https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces167434.htmlCrusader imitation Dirham (al-Salih Isma'il posthumous coinage, 3th type), 1243-1244

Here is a denier of the Duchy of Lorraine struck at the Sierck-les-Bains mint during the reign of Matthew II that can be dated to 1247-1251.   |

Here's another from the Frankish Principality of Achaea in Greece. William II of Villehardouin Denier Tournois, 1246-1278
Clarencia. Billon, 18.5mm, 0.8g. +G• PRINCE ACh' around cross pattee. +'CLARENTIA• Châtel tournois (CCS 10b; Metcalf, Crusades cf 939).William II founded Clarencia in the mid-1200s and it became very prosperous, but was in ruins by the 1500s. Edited by JohnConduitt

Here's yet another that might belong to this or the previous decade. I've seen these dated to the 1250s but otherwise generally to the reign of al-Musta'sim. al-Musta'sim was the last Abbasid ruler and was killed by the Ilkhanate Mongol ruler Hulagu, whose coin I showed in the 1260s. To avoid shedding royal blood, he wrapped al-Musta'sim in a rug and trampled him to death with horses. al-Musta'sim (Abbasid) Half Dirham, 1242-1258

My attribution may be off or perhaps we are using different attribution sources with conflicting dates. This Denar was minted in the Belgian Bishopric of Liege. It was issued under the authority of bishop Robert de Thourotte between 1240 and 1246 AD. The rev legend is EPC LEOD. It is attributed as Chestref 185 and Denis 460. Nice denar! I did a bunch of work on Numista last fall buidling the catalog for early Liege (much more could still be done ... like adding that one  ), and have thought about adding a 12th-13th c. denar to my medieval Low COuntries theme. Edited by tdziemia

I have nothing for the 1230s. Henry III hadn't reformed English coinage yet and the Golden Horde didn't exist. My 'world' coins (which for me includes the US, which also didn't exist) are very sporadic until we get much further back.

I have a coin for this decade. It is in pretty bad conditions, but it is still with me. Will try to make photos before the drop back:)
