I was scoping my 1950's pile of wheat cents looking for RPM's. I didn't think there were any DDR's for the Denver and San Fran 1950's. Then I came across this coin and had to look through the sites. Variety Vista lists it as DDR-001, and it has the die gouges and the clash on the obverse. Mint mark lines up as well. Glad I always check both sides for Cuds and lam's or in my ignorance would have passed this one by.

Yes very nice. The pellet in EPU looks elongate too.

If memory serves, and sometimes it doesn't, I believe that is the only CONECA-listed DDR on a Lincoln Cent from 1947 to 1958 not produced by the Philadelphia mint.

Coop, note my comment was about CONECA listings. There may be listings on CC or Wexlers, but it's mostly a big blank on the CONECA master list.

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. Any theories why the D and S mint don't have many DDR's in the 1950's. Aren't the working hubs made at the same location and then shipped to Denver and San Fransisco for the final mint mark punching?
