My Mom picked these up for us kids at the time. I kept mine...my Brother and Sister's have no idea what they did with theirs?

Very cool. I'm guessing you lived in Livonia Michigan at the time. Most of the value, at least to me, would be because of what @jbuck mentioned above and that they were from your mom. I have a couple of them around here. I wanted an example postmarked from my hometown and they're fairly affordable. Hey! I collect these. I have one from each state.
A challenge would be to collect a star note from each state also.

Stamped $2 bills used to sell well as a collectible in Dublin 20 years' ago!
