Very cool. I'm guessing you lived in Livonia Michigan at the time. Most of the value, at least to me, would be because of what @jbuck mentioned above and that they were from your mom. I have a couple of them around here. I wanted an example postmarked from my hometown and they're fairly affordable. A challenge would be to collect a star note from each state also.

Stamped $2 bills used to sell well as a collectible in Dublin 20 years' ago!
