Does a wire rim/rim fin add any value or is it just a fairly common error?

It hardly matters what the error, the more extreme the more you get and you need good pics, if it's an actual error. Some errors are worth more than others though. Do your homework and check out sold items, not for sale items.

Here is my best try at pics. I did one with the microscope, it's pixelated but don't really have a good set up. Hopefully between that and the other two you can have some idea.
