My mom had this 1967 dime. I've always thought it was add and wanted to see if anyone had any ideas about it. It is bulged out on both sides.

to CCF. No doubt Rosevelt had a Botox injection here! Ok... seriously, I'm going to lean towards some form of excessive heat being applied to your coin which caused the blistering. Not sure I have seen this before, on both sides, but you can be assured this is not a mint error. It did not leave the mint in this condition. People do a lot of crazy stuff to coins. I may start myself just to experiment :)

As Bumpkin said, definitely heat damage, post mint. How? Who knowns. Damage is damage however produced. Yes, an oddity, but not one that comes with a premium.

Yes, a so-called "campfire coin". Welcome to CCF!
