The ring on the rim on the reverse just above America is likely because the die was just a bit off of center when struck. This is quite common. Keep searching and posting and you will find something. Reverse appears to be a MAD (Misaligned Die) which would make the reverse the Hammer die) [is that possible?] At K2-K3 looks like the start of a small Rim Fin. Collecting since 1972.
