Mt local gas station attendant saves old coins for me. Went in for a coke and he flipped this at me. My first steel penny! Looked in decent shape to me but I'm a newbie. Still excited to add it to my small but growing collection. I might owe him a coke.

Guess it would help If I ask the question that I posted this for, anyone know what the squareish notch on Lincolns shirt is?

The square notch appears to be damage. The coin has small pock-marks all over it that look like it spent some time on the ground.

. I would dip it in 100% pure acetone and keep it. Please properly crop photos before posting them.
