Seller's photo along with colorful PCGSS TrueView. I saw this the other day and immediately decided to purchase my first IHC proof from the 1860s. It had color and a Civil War year to boot with a mintage of 500. Let me know what you think whether good or bad and leave a grade and color designation.

Color and spotting is a bit strange, but wonderful coin! I'll throw out a guess at PF-64BN CAC.

grading from trueview is a guess but typically we can get in the range of where it sits.

assuming the second set of photos is a better representation of color then PF64BN however, I always drop it one using trueview so I'm in at PF63BN

I'm guessing the coin in hand will be somewhere between the TrueView and seller images, PR-65RB. Nice coin, Doc.

With the on screen images, the partly obscuring patina {toning} is makes it difficult to assess for any very minor nicks and short hairlines.
Nevertheless, I agree with
PR-63 RB
