So this one is a gift from the father in law, just looking for a grade.

Here is a link to Photograde:

Keep in mind, that if there is damage on the coin, the grade will be lower or a cull. So that is to taken note of first. One bad mark is all it takes to alter a grade.

But it is still helpful to get other opinions, just so I can see how I'm doing with this whole grading system

I'll say VF-20, possibly 25.

VF25 for me, assuming the obverse dark spot between L and I is not problematic.

Obverse is beautiful!

The reverse quite odd -- that ridging by the rim near 3pm, and the flattening up at the top -- and I'm not sure what to make of it. The coin feels authentic, so it is probably a strike issue.

All told I'm at VF 20.

Well that kinda caught my eye too, whatever is going on at 3 o'clock, isn't happening at 9 o'clock! Looks like there's something going on with 'states' that isn't seen in 'united', well at least the 1st half

When they say "full head" what exactly are they saying? Does it have to be a MS example to be "full head"?
