I ran into this recently and had to reorientate the camera at an odd angle to capture all of these alleged hub (hopefully) doubling areas in one shot.

I'd like to get opinions as to whether or not this is a DDO. The date does not display any doubling features.

I need someone to differentiate the doubling found on these two side-by-side shots. The photo on the left came from NGC VarietyPlus.

The doubling looks virtually identicle especially on the nose profile.

I have always found it tough to determine profile hub doubling compared to letters and numeric digits like a 1916/1916 etc.

NGC's VP-002 even looks like MD to me, at least on the profile. The only real tell I think is the doubling on the bottom of the eye-lid, that looks legit. MDP I'd agree with TY I think yours is MD.

Looks like Machine Doubling on the outside edge of the devices. You can have MD on a doubled die, but note examples of DDO that doesn't show the outside edge of the outline affected:

Spread Visible:

On the examples above, I see just Machine Doubling. There is not spread on the devices. Just Machine Doubling.
