"Binary" refers to machine code (1 -yes or 0 -no). It's either one Or nothing so to apply the concept to other digits makes zero (no) sense. I'm sure the "binary" term was hijacked (& tagged to any 2 digit serial #) by the same planet ebay folks who came up with terms like "Quads" &/or "broken ladders." [I don't know any collector who collects special names like these] If you were to bring a "broken ladder" to the bourse at a big coin show most collectors (& dealers) will look at you pretty puzzled (& they'll tell you its FV). Anyway, I like your 2 digit note. (And it is in pretty good shape considering you plucked it out of the wild). If you search for binary notes on ebay, you'll find them all any 2 digits. 0's and 1's binary notes are referred to as true binary. I've sold the other 3 (which were in circulated condition) for about $20 each. It doesn't take very long at all to sell them either. Report this Post to the Staff
