Very nice notes! The fractional sets are addicting, not only are they mostly affordable but the subject matter is visually pleasing. Well. the 2nd series I'm not overly thrilled with but the others make up for it.

Well, I won this note at auction, but unfortunately the one I was really after I lost in the closing seconds. I'd already bid more on that one than I'd planned, so have some mixed emotions about losing out on it. Here is the one I did manage to get - a 15c fourth issue Columbia, blue right end and 40mm seal, Fr#1269.

My favorite note of the series! I love a nice 15 cent 4th issue.

Congratulations. I understand that the question may seem silly, but how much do such small denominations cost approximately?

Thanks, Slerk!
Regarding pricing, as with all numismatic items it comes down to grade, rarity and collector demand.
For raw notes, nice-looking circulated examples of a few of the most common Friedberg numbers can be found for under $30. For certified common circulated examples, you'll pay a bit more of course.
There are a number of Friedberg numbers that are quite rare and fairly expensive even in circulated grades, while some notes are very common even in grades up to 65. For instance, I have a Fr#1309 (a 25 cents fifth issue Walker note) that is PMG 65EPQ and cost about $150. That same note in a PMG 63EPQ holder can be found for under $100.
Keep in mind, there are at least 125 individual Friedberg numbers for the complete circulation set of fractional notes, and about 20 for a type set, so there are plenty of different notes to choose from!

I've not made any additions to my fractional note set in 2 months, but just today I received a new note. It's a common Friedberg number, but PMG has only graded about 15 higher than 65EPQ. The vertical centering on the front isn't quite what I expected for a 65, but I'm still quite happy with this one.
