This is a tough one for me to grade because 1922 Lincolns are notorious for worn dies and weak strikes causing the appearance of circulation wear. So how much of the weakness seen is from a late stage die vs actual wear? By the way, first time I'm posting photos that were downsized using PIXLR.
This one might even nudge an AU-50. These are one of my favorite Lincoln dates to collect. I have a few that are in the better shape that look quite worn. Yours looks more like die wear to get that appearance.
the sharpest device we see is the date itself. I would say XF45 area
one area of note is the area below AMERICA. there are way to many hairlines in this area and it appears the toning has been removed which we dont see anywhere else on the coin
Thanks everyone. I was also thinking in the XF/AU range. Not sure what that area is under AMERICA. Magnification does appear to show some very fine hairlines there, but it's pretty subtle.
