It looks like it was double struck or a die clash. I can see the Indian head behind the Buffalo

You must have better eyes than I have, all I see is a regular Buffalo nickel.

Here is what a Buffalo nickel die clash could look like:

I see something just over the Bison's shoulder, but I don't think it's clash marks.
ANA ID: 3203813 - CONECA ID: N-5637 Clean a coin that may be worth collecting? Please DON'T! When in doubt, leave it dirty!!

Die clashes are common throughout the Buff series.

Your coin shows very light clashing beneath the Indian's chin (chin/EPU clash) and a weak impression of the buffalo's right rear hoof between the "L" and "I" of LIBERTY. The reverse shows the second feather / buffalo's head clash between the head and "U" of UNITED and disruption in the field between the buffalo's lower rear legs, which is caused by the clash with LIBERTY. The dies have been polished some to address the clashes. As Buffs go, this is minor clashing and minor die polishing.

EDIT: There is no premium for the clashing. There is a premium - sometimes substantial - for Buffs with matching obverse and reverse early die states, without clashing and die polishing, that are well struck and in EF or higher grades. They are tough to find, and almost non-existent for several dates.
