Ancient Coin With Strange Patina - Coin Community Forum

trdhrdr007 Pillar of the Community United States 2335 Posts	Posted 06/12/2022 1:29 pm This is another coin from the uncleaned lot I got at an estate sale. Diameter is about 16 mm & weight is 3.1 grams. The second set of pictures are close to the true color. Does this coin have some sort of plating on it? The lot had some coins that were fairly nice, a bunch of crusty discs, & some that were in between. Some of the crusty discs looked like they had been subjected to some questionable "cleaning" with a sharp object. This was the only one that looked like this. Report this Post to the Staff
