I found this dime on the ground it appears to be reddish brown. Is it because of the weather?

Yes, it is. If left in or on the ground for long enough clad coins will always take on this appearance. Metal detectorists often put common clad coins they find in a tumbler to clean them up enough to cash them in. Oh, welcome to the forum!

Hello and

Your dime has probably been buried in the soil for a few months or years. Metal detector users find dozens of coins like this.

. It is called environmental damage, not an error.

Note the light colored metal on your coin? That is showing where the coating is wearing off of the coin. Eventually the whole coin will be the original color, but will always look dull. Just a spender.

Environmental toning/tarnishing/discolouration/damage. Typical buried coin appearance.
