I found this missing letter from Elizabeth Is it rare or valuable ?  |

This kind of thing can happen in two ways: either a mint error known as a "grease-filled die", or as post-mint damage by someone buffing away the letters. From the looks of it, this one is the " Grease Filled Die" kind, as I'm not seeing the usual traces of letter removal. It would also take considerable skill to remove the A and E, but leave the B intact. I don't think they're considered particularly rare or valuable, but still worth more than a dollar. I see some going on ebay, which may or may not be genuine greasers, for less than $50. Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

The main problem with greasers is, it is relatively easy to create a coin that looks... "identical" to a Greaser, just by skilful application of a Dremel hand-drill or similar tool. So they're never going to be as much in demand as an error that's impossible to replicate, like an off-centre strike, broadstrike or brockage. I have bought a couple of these $2 coins, it is a ' Grease Filled Die' for sure. Worth more than $2  |

The value of a circulated 2014 $2 remembrance green dove coin is above face value, an uncirculated one will fetch $25 or more.
I have payed around $15 for my die filled coins.
