Quote: I have been watching ebay for the 'pre-sales' that pop up for mint releases, and I have not seen anything up for sale on these new Morgans or Peace dollars. I am surprised its not already for sale on ebay. I know its still available but usually it would be up already.

@coincollector123 They shouldn't "sell out" before they come up for sale, as the email notice from the USM states they are holding back 10% of the mintage for the on sale date.

I know I'm not as excited as I was last year. I am looking forward to the proofs though. Honestly I was disappointed in the finish on last years coins. The satin finish doesn't look like my old Morgan's. I would prefer a finish that is similar to the originals.

More of what I meant was that the subscription is unavailable for this year. only holding 25k for the Reverse Proof set is not much if the subscriptions are sold out. Quote: That is exactly my point. They did the subscription program too soon.

While I believe the Majority Morgan and Peace dollar Collectors are on the fence, about the " newer " Morgan and Peace Coins. To Add to the existing 1878-1921 Morgan series is Very Appealing. To hold a Proof Peace dollar, WOW.. My thoughts are on All the collectors that Do want to continue the series, some look at this this way. Then there are those that Would like to Collect them, Then there are those that Did NOT receive one of the Latest released coins, that are seeking One. Then, the Newest Stir up where the mint have raised, I am sure after much research, the HH Limits to a Very Large Limit, Tickling the Big Boys to Cash in Too.... People are seeking These, MORE than Ever.... JMO... ..

Looks like they announced a date of release for the uncirculated morgan/Peace dollars. July 13th!

Yes, that is how I justify it... as a gift for myself.
