While grabbing something for my wife, from her bottomless 30 lb duffel bag she calls a purse, I couldn't help but notice this '83 Lincoln, that was just as bright & shiny as the '21 & '22 sheilds rattling around somewhere close to the bottom! Under magnification, things look different on almost all letters and Lincoln's bust. I realize this one is full of zinc dust (or zinc pebbles) and maybe that's what I'm seeing, but I can't be sure. Haven't really found anything that attributed that matches exactly, but does anyone else see anything that raises an eyebrow? I can find some attributed DD's that are very close to my coin, but haven't been able to find all the markers? There's notches on many elements, extra thickness on others, possible doubled eyelid, then the MM looks funny as well! Just wanted to see what everyone else thinks
To me it just looks like a nice shiny cent that will have issues once the zinc breaks through. Maybe the start of split plating at the top between the rim and devices.
